In 2018, Degroof Petercam entered a partnership with Quadia, a Swiss-based asset manager and European leader in impact investing, to focus on areas of energy transition, sustainable food and the circular economy. Through their products and services, regenerative companies favor local, participatory, circular, functional and organic-inspired approaches. They distance themselves from the conventional linear model (harvest, produce, discard) and offer a new framework for an economy that restores and regenerates nature to foster innovation, self-reliance, resilience and efficiency.

Philanthropy is part of our DNA. Degroof Petercam plays a pioneering role in offering sound and structured philanthropic advice to clients wishing to dedicate their capital and time to a more sustainable world. Our Philanthropy-department was established in 2007. Our aim was to advise, support, and guide clients in their philanthropic ambitions and to better structure and fulfill their social commitments.
Today, our Estate Planning department advises and supports our clients in their philanthropic initiatives. Moreover, a dynamic team of professionals promotes awareness of philanthropy's importance in our society and works to establish an international philanthropic network.
Degroof Petercam advocates proactive, professional philanthropy resolutely aimed at maximizing social impact. As such, we are aligned with the principles of venture philanthropy, which combines the corporate world's best practices and startups with those of non-profit organizations and similar groups.
- We support the Gingo Community, the first-ever digital philanthropic crowdfunding platform for financing social projects in Belgium and Luxembourg.
- We organize forums on philanthropy where leading philanthropists share their experiences with our clients.
- We create communities of benefactors to enable interactions and synergies between philanthropists working in the same field. Examples of communities include Next Generation (a community promoting education) and Pulse Foundation (promotes entrepreneurship and was established with Degroof Petercam’s support).
