The green commitment
Our commitment allows us to influence decision-making, encourage transparency, and drive improvements in areas such as environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance. This proactive approach protects our investments and promotes a healthier and ultimately more sustainable economy and society.
Tangible involvement
In 2023, we will be working with around 250 companies to defend DPAM's values on environmental, social, and governance issues. On the environmental front, we specifically asked companies to focus on their indirect emissions and to develop a credible and achievable pathway to reach their targets. On the social front, we urged companies to respect digital rights. We addressed governance issues, focusing on ethical concerns and aggressive tax planning.
Commitment and voting go
hand in hand
Our active commitment is also reflected in our involvement in the general meetings of the companies in which we invest. We have voted on nearly 10,000 resolutions submitted by company management or shareholders. These covered governance issues such as remuneration, as well as social and environmental issues such as employee representation and the setting of targets based on scientific data. We submitted five shareholder resolutions urging oil and gas producers to align their existing reduction plans with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
